The discount is in getting the Cl-415, no discount on the sim itself. I bought the standard version.Do you get a discount if you preorder? If so, where do you go to preorder?
Sorry John, I forgot an important part of your questions: I bought it through Steam.Do you get a discount if you preorder? If so, where do you go to preorder?
I think you should. This isn't normal.I purchased the standard edition via Steam on the 27th Sept, as of yet, I've not had tthe 415 roll into my hanger. Despite checking my content manager within the sim.
I've heard that I may need to open a ticket with their support?
Keith.
Difficult question. I can't compare But I like the download speeds (which should be the same, because you're downloading from M$, not Steam) I just like the interface (you use Steam too, for other stuff, so you know that) And I like my games being grouped in one provider. What are the advantages (if any) of buying through Steam rather than the MS Windows Store? I purchased my copy of 2020 through MS's store and haven't hadd any problems, other than dismal DL speeds...
From what I understand, if you have 2020 through the MS store, you should buy 2024 through there as well. If you have 2020 through Steam, then get 2024 through Steam. Otherwise, your MP purchases (if you have any) won't transfer over to the new sim. What are the advantages (if any) of buying through Steam rather than the MS Windows Store? That makes sense. While I see Steam as mostly another middle man looking for a teat to suck money out of, it does offer advantages with games. Many game mods will not work on any version of the game other than the Steam version. I found this out the hard way with Starfield. Because of that experience I will not buy another Microsoft game, other than FS2024, from them. Any game purchases outside of flight sims will go through Steam. From what I understand, if you have 2020 through the MS store, you should buy 2024 through there as well. Well, for 3rd party addons, the M$ store does exactly the same John! That was about the money sucking of course. That makes sense.
