Prepar3D V3.1 is out!

Thanks gman. Im actually having a hard time seeing the change at all? Im using a model that has alpha active but the environment map is not the globalenv. Its got it own name called out. I wonder if that is impeding the ability? It just doesnt look like it reflecting the actual space around the plane. Still looks like a static image to me....i think i need to head out over water...that should solve the confusion rather quickly.

Try doing a slow taxi down a runway with good texture and markings and see if you pick up the reflection.

I don't know anything about how LM coded the interactive cube, but if you're working with a model coded with a specific reflection map, other than GlobalEnv map it could be rendering differently.

Try it with the Tiger cat and see if you get live reflections.

It seems to me that only the planes that use the default globalenvmap will benefit from this new features.

Planes that use a custom envmap will not show any dynamic reflections, and will keep showing only their envmap fixed texture.
For example, the A2A Accusim B-17 will not show any dynamic reflections, but the canopy window of the default R-22 will reflect the scenery:
