Problem with FSX

Every so often I get this awful distorted view of the airplane as though it's taken with a wide angle lens. It's just plain terrible.
Is there any way to get rid of it forever and not have it not show up?

Try Control +

This will change the focal view of the 'camera' on the external view.

I have to do this with the Aerosoft Catalina

Go into the panel folder of the distorted aircraft, open panel.cfg with notepad, scroll to the bottom to find this entry [Default View] make SIZE_Y 6143 as below

[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8191
SIZE_Y=6143

Thanks fellows for the help. Much appreciated. I'll try the Control C first. It happens on more than aircraft and I don't like fooling around with the Aircrafts. Config file.

Helldiver, it is not the aircraft.cfg file that needs checking, it is panel.cfg file found in the Panel folder, if you make a copy of the panel.cfg file you will have a back up.

This can happen on a lot of planes if SIZE_Y is to small so you will have to check the panel.cfg in the panel folder of all problem planes.

Which aircraft are you having problems with ?

[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8191
SIZE_Y=6143

I have that happen too to more then one aircraf - just hit your reset view or pan in and out view back to normal and all is fine. I think the "Backspace" will reset in and out views. Maybe!
