• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Anyone else experiencing this?
When I try to log on I get the SOH main page for a split second, then an error message that the server does not recognize my login. This is in Firefox.
Went to IE7 and got in...but everything is running very slow plus my AV software says it is blocking IP xxx.xx.xx... numbers I do not remember.
Just a heads up for the Admins.

I've received several e-mails and PMs from various members the past several days. Please try these steps, courtesy of Ickie...

If You Are Having Problems downloading

1)we run on cookies
? Use Internet explorer

2)
PS do not use a download manager they do not work and cannot download a password protect file

3)
click start
go to settings
go to control panel
click internet options
click privacy tab
click sites
in box add
donationware.net
and click allow
and
sim-outhouse.com
and click allow

If that don't work try this

4)
Go Internet Explorer
Temporary Internet files
delete cookies
delete files
delete all offline content
Reset web settings
Restore Defaults
unable firewall

5)
sometimes the router needs to be shut off for 30 seconds and restarted.

6)
login with your sim-outhouse.com (soh) login and soh password
or sign-up @
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/register.php?

If the problem still persists, let me know and I will alert the big kahuna.

Thanks Rami! Clearing out the cookies did the trick.

I think some mold was starting to grow on them. :rolleyes:
