Problems toggling to panel in full view

Having altered nothing in CFS2 since last running, I now can no longer toggle between the panel and full view (F3). The panel does not appear and instead I get a full view on the top three-quarters of the screen and either black box or the lower portion of the panel (with stick) on the bottom, i.e.tThe equivalent of the panel view (F7).

However, when I use the "windowed" view, this is not a problem. But I don't like the "windowed" view.

Has anyone experienced this before and is there a fix?
 
Since it's kinda hard to say what happened...I'd go into Controller Assignments and reset defaults....might work....might not. :faint:
 
Tried that. No luck. It seems somehow connected to using a full screen but I can't figure out what happened.
 
This only seems to happen after I create a new Window (F11). Now it's progressed to the point that when I create a window and go to the virtual combat view, that view (meaning the cockpit, panel, controls, etc) comes and goes on its own. Similarly, when I got to a full view, the HUD flashes on and off.

Has anyone experienced this before?
