problems with modelconverterx

Hi to all,
i'm using modelconverterx, but having much troubles because when i import the 3ds mesh obtained with such program in Gmax, i get the message improper file format.

it occurs to me only when i try to add lods in Mcx: perhaps are they not compatible with 3ds max file??????

MCX does no import 3d, it only exports.
It will import some bgls, sca.
Convert gmax models to bgl and import in to mcx,or convert bgl to sca and then import into mcx. Hope this works for you. Let me know how you get one. SORRY MISREAD QUESTION. MCX will export lods and they can be imported into gmax.
