Boeing,

Fair enough, I have no problem giving previews. The long-awaited update to the "Defense of Australia" campaign is in the final stages of beta testing, with a good deal of help and occasional tweaking from Talon, EC_ILO, and KDriver. There is also a P-39 campaign in New Guinea that begins as the DoA campaign is winding down, then extends into 1943.

(I'd like to get these out this week, perhaps they'll be delivered by the Easter Bunny!)

One of these days I'll also get around to updating "87 Days of Cactus."

Beyond that, I continue to progress on a Mediterranean Beaufighter campaign that will use and highlight some of Jean Bomber's continuing work in the Mediterranean, the wonderful Malta scenery package by Brunosk, as well as Bismarck13's magnificent Beaufighters with a campaign beginning early in 1942 and extending into the fall of 1944. Other projects include final updates to previous campaigns, including Operation Pedestal / Mezzagosto, once again using updated scenery, aircraft, ships, and better historical accuracy.

Still more projects in the pipeline include a plethora of CFS1 projects to be brought up to CFS2 standard. Among those which I have a major interest in completing are...

A 20th Fighter Group campaign featuring the P-38 Lightning over Europe.
A 303rd Bomb Group campaign utilizing the FDG B-17 Flying Fortress.
"Operation Dragoon" (How many times can you get an F6F Hellcat into the Med/Europe!)
Extending Desert Air Force back to 1940 and making it dual-sided.
An extended campaign based in Malta extending from 1940 into 1942.

Coming in summer, 2010....

The Battle of France.
Finishing the Battle of Britain, this time Part II.

BananaMan

Been working on my own rendition of FsX Pacific textures. Something with a little more green/yellow thrown into the mix. I give all of my little projects names...this one acquired the title "BananaMan". :d
I'm shooting for a look of early morning or late afternoon hues.

Oscar's converted textures I uploaded previously are a good look for overcast/cloudy conditions. A little batch file would be nice to switch through these "Rhumda Style". The way he uses it for seasons in Europe and SE Asia land class. :salute:

Great looking work, guys! I am just starting to look for tools that I will need to make a small strip for some not so historical missions. I am gathering tools and tutorials from our site and others. Can you let me know of any "must have" items I might need? :salute:

19th Bomb Group

I am working on an update of an old missions/campaign called "ferry." These missions deal with the flight of B-17's of the 19th Bomb Group from Hamilton Field, California to Clark Field in the Philippines. These Fortressess (shark fined C & D's) went by the way of Hickam Field, Midway, Wake, New Guinea, Australia to Clark Field in October, 1941. I would like to add missions in the Philippines in 1941-42, and those from New Guinea and Australia, including the rescue of MacArthur (Flight in and out of Del Monte Field). The Dutch East Indies would be another whole project.

I am using AlphaSims B_17D and FDG B_17E & early F model. I am perfectly happy with the FDG model, but I would like to put guns and gunners into the waist and radio position of the AlphaSim B-17D. Does anyone have an update that does this?

Also, I need to know if someone has the scenery for the West Coast airfields, I have one for the East Coast. I need One of Hamlton Field, near San Francisco.

Coming soon to a Computer Near You . . .

I have been working on an Australian Pilot Radio Chatter project for a couple of months now and its about 3/4 of the way finished. As soon as the stars of the project (my Australian recording artists) finish the last few recordings it will only take two to three hours and it will be ready to upload. So hopefully, by the time you guys start downloading what you need for Rami's Defense of Australia remake you will also be able to download authentic Australian voices for your wing men and control tower personnel. This should be a big improvement for the old DOA campaign because the pilot chatter used back then was actually English. You WILL notice the difference.

The sound quality of this project is higher than my previous two language packs for some reason. Its probably because I actually speak the language being used and can edit out a word or two if the phrase is too long to fit into the limited space of the gvr file. In fact, the first version of gvr file aus03 came out so clear it was like your wing men were sitting next to you. Since this was not realistic I had to go back in and lengthen some of the phrases, turn down the project rate (Hz), add clicks to represent the microphone going on and off, and turn up the volume on the static. Its cool . . . very cool.

:salute: .............some really interesting stuff there Guys ...........:applause::applause::applause:
