prop disks

I've taken JBK's Bristol Britannia for a hop and am finding the prop disks greyed out. They change a little against a cloud background but not much. I can't post a copy of the screenshot I took, it's not being accepted for posting but I know folks here have seen this before. The texture folder for this version of the Britannia is different from the newer version that has the files in .dds format. Do I have to change the alpha for this prop? The file in question is for the three "Redcoat" versions of the Britannia. Texture in question is "RctBHAU," file name is "Prop_blurred.bmp."
 
No one has answered yet and my guess is that once I do, they will appear because my answer will be wrong or not extensive enough, lol. Without seeing what you're seeing, I can't be sure but if the prop disc is solid then it is an mdl problem which is not easily corrected (is this an early FS9 model?). Changing the alpha might have some effect, but the better option would be to try a prop blur from a native FSX airplane. Just rename it to the one you want to replace and take a look in the Sim. If that had no effect then in all likelihood it is within the mdl file (material coding) and difficult to correct without the source code. Just my 2cents.
 
Thanks Falcon. I rechecked the downloaded file, it says these are three textures for the "JBK Britannia 312" for FSX and FS2004. I searched the files for both sims at flightsim and found nothing under "JBK," "JBK Britannia" or "JBK Britannia 312" - not even the base model - in either one. This appears to be a dead end so I will probably delete the three textures and just carry on from there.

It is indeed a problem with the MDL, very frequent with FS9 or FS2002 airplanes, and there's nothing that can be done to rectify it, excepted converting the plane's MDL to native-FSX format.
 
Thanks Daube. Now that I know I'll be applying the fix of replacing the prop textures or just not transferring or installing the aircraft.
