• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Prop Strike?

What specifically triggers a prop strike? Is it a contact point in the CFG? If so what does it look like?

I'm trying to add a prop strike to an AC that doesn't have one. I used to know this but my memory fails me.

A contact point indeed. This one is from a Bf 109G/K series. Replace X with whatever point number you wish and tweak the values to fit - now the strike point is 7.8 feet ahead of the datum and 5.1 feet below. I bet you could decipher that by yourself but better safe than sorry...

point.X = 2, 7.8, 0, -5.1, 444, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 4

also member B, it has to be modeled in.
if there is no bent prop you will just end up with a missing prop and spinner.

Thanks Rene & Jon!

Jon, I learned what you taught me before, but I couldn't put my finger on what I was doing wrong this time. It hit me when I saw Rene's post . . . I wasn't adding the minus sign to the vertical position! Everything is on track now.:jump:

I'm such a dumb a** . . . I'm sorry for wasting your time.:173go1:
