A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - American

Description: USMC R4D Dakota skin by UncleTgt

This is a repaint for the OH_C-47 Dakota, using Allen's excellent R4D Dakota model enhancement for CFS 2.

The skin is based on photos of aircraft from VMJ-253, USMC at Henderson Field, Guadacanal during the autumn of 1942

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen texture files in the texture folder for the C-47 Dakota (or R4D Dakota) model within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

Description: USAAF SAR C-47 Dakota skin by UncleTgt

This is a repaint for the OH_C-47 Dakota, using Allen's excellent R4D Dakota model enhancement for CFS 2.

The aircraft is from 1352 AAFBU, Assam, India, January 1945.

This Base Unit had configured this DAkota for use in local seraches for missing aircraft & aircrew on the Indian side of "The Hump" airbridge.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen texture files in the texture folder for the C-47 Dakota (or R4D Dakota) model within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

Description: RAAF C-47 Dakota skin by UncleTgt

This is a repaint for the OH_C-47 Dakota, using Allen's excellent R4D Dakota model enhancement for CFS 2.

The skin is based on poor quality photos of an aircraft donated to the Australians by the 21TCS, USAAF, to keep Port Moresby supplied during the autumn of 1942. Unusually it retained its USAAF roundels & just carried a "VH" serial - the only clue it was in fact an Australian aircraft.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen texture files in the texture folder for the C-47 Dakota (or R4D Dakota) model within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

This is a couple of repaints for the OH_C-47 Dakota, using Allen's excellent R4D Dakota model enhancement for CFS 2.

The aircraft are from 243 squadron, RAF. Based in Australia, it's aircraft supported the operations of tyhe British Pacific Fleet by flying personnel & parts between the Australian mainland & Manus Island.

KN340: Named "Pride of Middlesex" on the port side, & "City of Cardiff" on the starboard side.

KN344: A plain olive drab over grey aircraft. Lost over Milne Bay, PNG 2nd July 1945.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen texture files in the texture folder for the C-47 Dakota (or R4D Dakota) model within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

Liberator C.VII 1315 flt RAF, BPF JUN45 UT.zip

Description: BPF Liberator C.VII skin by UncleTgt

This is a repaint for the my own conversion of Jappe de Barre & Jim Nelson's C-87 Liberator Express for CFS2.

The aircraft is one of 1315 Flight, RAF. Based in Australia, it's aircraft supported the operations of tyhe British Pacific Fleet by flying personnel & parts between the Australian mainland & Manus Island.

EW619 There are two versions of the textures, one with & one without an underwing serial numbers. The only photograph shows EW619 with these underwing serials, but this seems likely to have been a post-hostilities addition to the natural metal finish.

Also included is a shiny mdl, new aircraft.cfg, renamed air & dp files so it can sit alongside the current texture options in CFS2.

To install, unzip the download and place within the relevant sub-folders of the C-87 Liberator Express v2 within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

These are once again top-notch efforts! The overhauled C-47 model is just about payware / donationware quality now! Thanks to Allen as well for sprucing the ol' girl up! :very_drunk:
