Hi,

I've done it, my first aircraft repaint.

Introducing "Margie"

for the one and only FSX Douglas C-47 Skytrain V2
by Manfred Jahn, Alexander M. Metzger, Hansjoerg Naegele, and Ted Wolfgang.

This repaint was inspired by a photo shot ca. 1943 on Seghi Airfield, New Georgia, Solomon Islands. It probably was a SCAT aircraft operated by VMJ-253.
I did extensive weathering and abuse marks on it, I hope it's not overdone.

Now all we need is the gorgeous VC for our old, steamy C-47s! :)

Thanks Mark, between you and Jan Kees the airbases in the Solomons will come to life. Off to download.
 
Looking good Mark! Someday I may venture into painting military type repaints. I have future plans for the MAAM's B-25 gunship.

I like the shadows on the aircraft.... P3Dv.2?
 
Thanks for the kind remarks. Ted, you're right, this is P3D V2hf1. And, I hope VS releases it's B-25 soon. I can't wait to repaint that. I think I have over 50 images to go after that big bird.

[Edit:] Oh, Ted, and by the way, that sound kit is awesome!!!
