Fguili's Savoia Marchetti SM95C refuses to convert for me.

Yes, it's FS2004, and those are difficult at times...

Not a lot out there regarding successful conversion procedure(s), other than using MCLC.... Any Suggestions for this Neophyte ?

If OW has sent you the converted mdl then great. It converted straight through using mk_MDLC V2. Make sure you have this version using MDLC version 1.90. from SOH. That will give the best chance to convert (not all are as easy!)

That's the one I'm having difficulty with, Shessi - it causes a CTD every time.

OW's MDL did not cure the symptom - and now I'm stumped.

Perhaps I'm not slated to fly commercial airliners ?

Keep workin' guys. I think that the one listed as a CFS 2 aircraft is in actuallity the FS 9 model. At least it doesn't have a DP file with it and that's usually a clue that it's not for CFS 2.

Sometimes with the newer 3d programs for FS 9 and X, the CTD in converted CFS 2 airplanes is caused by the g-lightstates section. Here's what DBolt has to say:

You need to remove the "g_lightStates" variable from the DICT section of the mdl. It just can be done with a hexeditor, but it's not so hard.

First, locate the DICT section, close of the CFS2 tag. Then, you need to locate the following sequence of bites inside it:

9d e9 f0 57 23 05 9c 4e bc b6 12 bb 2f e7 3f 06

That is the "g_lightStates" ID number. Just replace the bites with zeros. Don't be tempted to remove the data, as it will mess up the mdl.
It should work with many aircrafts with the same problem.

Hmmm strange, would agree Jagd that would cause it but with the conversion I've done it it does not CTD at all, even in QC and against 8 of them! (with 38fpm). So I think it could be a bad airfile or .cfg? Try a good known good flyer airfile and .cfg, and see if that does it?

If not I'll send/post the mdl etc etc.

Sc7500: Just had a 'brain fart', are you using the original panel with gauges? Perhaps there is a gauge that CFS2 doesn't like.

Well, Hmm. I'm using everything that was included with the download.

So I just removed THAT and dropped in a stock a/c panel.... and CTD.
