QC plane crashes in mid air

Hi there. Fast planes like Carter's converted Me-163 Komet, FS France converted Me-262, Alphasim's He-162 Salamander, crash in mid air when I fly them in QC. Not in level flight, but always after some manoever. The red sign that appears says OVERSPEED. If I have the "aircraft respawn" box selected, the plane just stays fixed in mid air, completely blocked when I touch the controls. The Me-163 is the worst of them all crashing almost instantaneously after the slightest move of the stick. What explains this? Can anyone help me fixing this?

Cheers,

Zeke

I think....

...you're referring to the 'exploding jets' phenomenon common in CFS2.

Try the fix in the second box on this Fox Four page:

http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2kwfaq.htm

Open the CFS2.CFG file (Main CFS2 directory) in Notepad.
Scroll down to the [REALISM] section & change the StressDamage=True entry to StressDamage=False
Exit Notepad saving changes. That's it. No more Exploding Jets.

Jets frequently exceed the airframe stress limits set in CFS2 which where chosen for WWII prop aircraft.

Hope this helps. :wavey:

Exploding jets...

Thanks a lot Tango Romeo... Will give it a try. :wavey:
BTW, regarding the Carter's converted Me-163 Komet, do you (or anybody for that matter), have the same blue spot/stain I have on the left side of the Komet QC window?

Regards,

Zeke

I can't....

...help you with that one. I have no experience with this plane. :isadizzy:
