A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 3 Other Add-Ons - Effects

Description: This mod peppers a few TOW searchlights around various city-specific facilities. Its main objective is to give those flying night missions in Quick Combat (QC) the searchlight experience. Installation/uninstallation is pretty simple. Please see the text file in the package for details.

So these look great! However, I agree that it might be a (small) issue with missions and also gsl files already having searchlights. An easier solution would also be to use batch files to swap in and out the facilities.

One could have 2 folders in your CFS3 folder called "With TOW Searchlight" and "Without TOW Searchlights" and then have a separate folder called "QC_Searchlights bat files" with a shortcut to your desktop. this folder would have 2 batch files called
"With TOW Searchlight.bat" something like this:-

copy "C:\YOUR CFS3\With TOW Searchlight\facilities" "C:\YOUR CFS3\facilities"

and
"Without TOW Searchlights.bat"
something like this:-

copy "C:\YOUR CFS3\Without TOW Searchlights\facilities" "C:\YOUR CFS3\facilities"

The exact wording of the batch files depends on

name-location of your install
name-location of your with and without searchlight folders.

I know some people have difficulty seeing night scenes in CFS3, so hopefully these show up okay for everyone. I have my system calibrated with a SpyderX Pro for my photography work, and moonlit nights like these are really no problem for me to see a reasonable level of detail (AnKor's shaders for shadows and reflections, but no Reshade effects).
