Question about gunsight

How do i look down the gun sight? What key(s) enable you to use the sight. I was able to do it on a previous mission by cycling the spot view. It even disabled my Track IR while using the sight. Now for the life of me I can't do it. Does it only work with certain planes?

depends.. TrackIR? Move your head!

If not try F6 bit of a cheat works on some a/c fixed sight view but not realistic (your head is fixed with perfect alignment)

otherwise see the keys in esc, controls, view controls you can move your head.

And better still use tracers that is the idea of them as gunsights are very rough in a WW1 craft with 100 mph wind in your face :)
 
The Lewis Guns in your sight, have apparent sights. If it's on your upper wing ( Nieuport 11) Good Luck. . . Get closer, there never was sights

Some birds like the SE5a, and the Nieuport 16 have the tube affair

None of the German twin guns, have sights, they never did

If you appear to be on a colllision course, shoot, then quickly turn away

Why have sights on the gun, if you can't move it ?

Or another way to look at it.
