Question about the AeroSim Japanese fighters for CFS3 ?

Pity That there are no longer available and unable to contact them to ask for release of the models into the wild.

Would love to be able to include them in BofLG.

The last we knew these had been transferred to Vector Holdings who manages sales for Aerosim.

PC Shop Proregi is operated by Vector Holdings Co., Ltd. (Operator: Kazuhiro Todoroki, Representative Director)
Shareregi and Proregi are registered trademarks of Vector Holdings Co., Ltd.

I had sent both Aerosim and Vector Holdings a direct request to make them available for us with distribution and use limitations.

Would you be willing to release these publicly as a donation to a group of Not-For-Profit hobbyists developing a Freeware Mod for CFS3?

Aerosim would be listed in the credits, along with any disclaimers you would require prohibiting resale or redistribution outside use in our Leyte Gulf Mod.

They now appear to have completely withdrawn them from their sales website. Link to Aerosim Search

At this point we're not too hopeful about getting a reply from anyone connected with these packages, as they appear to have finally given up on selling them anymore.

So does that meann they can't be used? No idiviual we know from there?

The AS Aircraft copyright is in force until 2073, so unless they respond to the request for fair use we're legally out of luck.

Having said that, the reality is that their real damages would be effectively zero since the commercial market for these has long since passed. We've already told them that we're a small fish with no commercial potential, and no resources to go after. I would expect that if they ever became aware of our using them, the worst that could happen is that they would issue a cease and desist letter.

I've found another way to contact Aerosim, and sent a third request through to them on Friday that didn't just get immediately bounced back. One can only hope that it eventually generates some sort of response so we'll know where we stand.
