Question for Cockpit builders

Do any of you know of a USB Circuit Board that can have generic switches and potentiometers wired to it and then recognized/controlled by FSUIPC for home cockpit building?
 
Check out the "How to ..." section on the main menu of FlightSim.com. There are several articles that would appear to apply to your question.
