Question for UT

watchdog22

Piston Broke
Hi UT, thanks for the HMS Hermes repaint. Quick Question, do the textures need to be resized as the originals are 1024x1024?

Cheers

Quick answer: No resizing needed!

As long as the sides are multiples of 2^x (up to 1024) all combination are possible.
Not only here but within CFS2 generally.

The used parts in the texture are positioned in relative way (percent of the total sidelength).
Alot of earlier textures are square, but it is not needed.

Thank you Jaxon!

I just resized the bitmaps to allow for easier repainting, the originals were very distorted in shape, particularly in doing deck letters or camo patterns.

I also changed the format, saving as 565 bitmaps (no MIPS0. THis seems the best format (on my 7 yr old XP system) to avoid the "blurries" during flybys...

Thank to both of you for the info. Thats one I didnt know. It might make repainting the is4g 109's simpler as I resized them every time I reloaded after a minor correction. Much appreciated :salute:
