You have been chosen to decide the fate of this world. You will be responsible for determining how the world will end. You can only pick ONE way to end it.

How would you want the end of the world to occur?

Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in Ice
As for me
I hold with those who favor fire
But should the world perish twice
The power of ice is great
And would suffice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.


I choose the largest asteroid you can imagine...time to make amends before all hell breaks loose-people just might be nicer to each other knowing they are going to go out like a flash at a designated time!

Ok, check this out. In about 4 billion years, the sun turns into a red giant, expanding until it swallows up the three inner planets, including, of course, our dear Earth. That's how I would do it... :)
 
Now, if I had to decide how the world were going to be destroyed....I would want people to have fun for a while before they died. I would smother the world in silly putty. Oh, sure the first few days of Silly Putty falling out of the sky would be a real blast....and by the time the final deluge came about, people would be laughing so hard they wouldn't notice their demise.

Stuff the planet into a big bowl of Lemon Jello..

the Mayans and others refer to the end of the world as we know it....

I would be fine with an end to war.

No more nationalism, racism, territoriality, rabid religious zealotry, narcissism, alcoholism, etc..

For an end to the world - look no farther than organized religion psychobabble and fox news...and beware of self fulfilling prophecy
 
what a depressing question! If it had to happen a sudden massive shift in atmospheric gases to carbon monoxide. we all just go to sleep, no additional pain or suffering

I like that too, but will add something to it.

The day before, free beer for the ENTIRE world! One big keg party EVERYWHERE, for 24 hours. Then, when everyone has passed out from partying, THEN the atmosphere changes to carbon monoxide, and we just keep sleeping.....

...and watch out for those other "over the top" news outlets like CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, PBS, CBS...
 
None of that movie BS for me.
No meteor showers, no alien spacecraft, no voices from above, no chariots in the sky, no staircase descending from the clouds, no St. Peter with a big green Navy-issue log book, just...
Ka-BOOM!!!!
...and we're all space debris. Where we go after that is decided by The Man upstairs in liaison with the demon downstairs.

I saw that too, it turned out to be Clint Eastwood, no big deal!
 
The world will end with all living creatures reaching singularity. We will evolve to a higher plane.

Outside of one or two problems, there really is nothing wrong with this world, so rather than 'fate' the entire world to an untimely end, how bout I just terminate the one or two problems and let the rest of the world keep on keepin on? :ernae:
 
I would Have mandatory world wide Mass Gatherings...all required to disrobe. in public.With birthday suits on!.With all hints of stations in life removed,No crowns,Robes,Jeans,suits,wigs,makeup,, ties,nothing!...and as we all look around.,and see what we really are,in the bright sunlight,?...Why we will all Die laughing!....for the SUPREME JOKE is US!!!<label for="rb_iconid_20">
