Question of the Day (11.06.10)

Right now I've got some big trees and an old barn. I'd add my horses to it if I could.

What I'd really love is a back porch in the first place but if I could choose any view it might be Camelback Mountain with the Pacific a mile or so behind it. (Yes I know but Arizona would be so much nicer if it was by the sea :kilroy: ).
Either that or Dartmoor. It would be nice if I had a flying house and could change the view every few weeks.

We don't have a back porch, but we do have an elevated 30 foot patio out front...and sitting there we have a view of a 15 acre meadow, a 3 acre lake, a small covered bridge spanning a small trickling stream. We frequently see deer, Gray Herons, geese and ducks, a plethora of small song birds, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and the occasional fox and coyote. Would not change a thing about our view.

I would not either if I were you! Beautiful and serene! Thanks for sharing Tim!

This is the closest view I've ever had to my version of paradise.

If you stood on the end of the dock and looked in any direction, there were no condos or houses as far as you could see. If you turned around and went away from the water, there was a dirt trail that went through the woods and up to the beach where you also could not see a house or condo in either direction. There was an unobstructed view up the beach to the missle and Shuttle launches from the Cape. Two of our little sailboat collection aren't in the pic. There was also usually the Sunfish and Force5 up on the beach to the left of the dock.

FAC~ Beautiful picture! I love the dock! I can imagine myself, sitting at the end of it, relaxing while reading a book. Thanks for sharing!

We recently bought a condo in Palm Coast, Florida overlooking Flagler beach. That's the view Susan's always wanted and I can live with it, too. The back side of the complex is on the intercoastal canal with boat slips available for the party barge I've always wanted. Three years and we'll move there permanently.

That said, nothing beats a beautiful mountain view, IMHO. The boss doesn't share that sentiment, so it's to be Florida.
