Worse! In addition to the man vs man scenarios, we are killing our environment in so many ways and as life spans improve, there will be just to many people on this planet sooner than later.

Agree 100%, problem is, there are to many parents out there that are lost when it comes to being moral and upstanding adults and they pass this on to their kids, I see so many examples of it daily in my work.
 
In 100 years, ... I can only hope and pray that things will be much better than they are now.

If things go the way I understand them to be going, your cure for cancer will have been found and man will be living the cleanest happiest lives they've ever lived.

I sincerely hope to be there and enjoy it myself. :)

Absolutely and without doubt it will be a much better place given the unimaginable advances in almost every aspect of the human existance.

To only mention a few; Medical advances not even whispered yet (as C9G mentioned cancer)

Power and energy sources and methods of transmission and storage at an unlimited level.

Transportation methods that will make our cars, busses and trains look archaic.

Information and services at your fingertips in ways now only seen in sci-fi movies, thanks to nanotechnology and virtual memories.

Possible off-world opportunities and thresholds to be encountered.


And on, and on, and on. . . Seriously, think about it - mankind has been going nowhere but up since the industrial revolution. Societal mores, cultures and politics always follow right along.

Do not fear our future. Welcome it as one of our best friends!

true, but if you read ezekiel, mark 13, luke 21, revelation, among other places, you will see there were many signs given so that we would not be taken by surprise. if you read carefully, we were given a chronology of events. some of which have already come to pass. many of which are yet to happen. but all of those still to come are events that can happen pretty quickly.
 
Europe will be Muslim, USA will be Hispanic, Whites will be found in small clusters scattered around the world. China, India, or Singapore will be first to send man to the stars. Everything will be banned, political correctness will be int'l law. Like that movie Demolition Man, with Snipes and Stallone.
Then again, there may be world wide reactions to some of this, and we may yet find our way to a better world. But right now, looking at present trends and events, I cannot find much hope.

Yes, I do. If you look at history, it is filled with periods of seemly taking a step backwards. However, whenever you look at it in the context of history, you will see the world has gotten more and more civilized. We humans are evolving socially and morally towards some higher point.

It may look bad at the moment, but we are still moving forward.

we have come a long way, overall better
a few things worse
so i believe it will be better
as long as we still learn from mistakes

putting aside my own beliefs, i would pretty much side with this theory otherwise. :icon_lol:
 
Some signs of the rough times to come in the bible are;
* Lawlessness... everywhere..
* A single world order, one currency that spans the world
* A meteor strike of huge proportion that forms a cavity or crater or pit out in one of the oceans, caused by a 'heavenly body' called apophous, (not a Goa-ould).

Incredibly, there is already a large asteroid named Apophous and it has 2 close calls with earth in the near future; one about 30 years from now (36?), and another in about 60 years from now, (64?).

The oceans are also supposedly supposed to get lower.

Its scary what 'might' or 'could' happen to us all then. Scarier for our childrens children... They will be in a pretty wild world.

I left one out. The land referred to in the bible that is now called iran, near the end of this age, will continue to fight against God by attacking his people, and God will rise up against that land and burn it with a fire from the sky, and to show the world it is from Him, He will use His chosen people to do this and that land that made war with him shall be destroyed in a single moment, and a single day, and there shall be no oxen, no people, not even tree's in that land for an entire generation. That is about 65 years if I am correct, though it could be 90.

This subject has been before congressmen and presidents in closed door sessions. It is a reality that has not happened yet, and wasnt dreamed of until recently with the newest president of iran and his pushing of terrorism and his dark desires of war against the world.

Things are really unfolding fast these days...

Three things will effect the answer to this question.
If the USA can't get the debt to GDP ratio down from where it is now (85.81% and rising) http://www.usdebtclock.org/ America is only going to get worse.

Speaking of America. If the USA continues to elect Marxists as president, then we will not be happy to say the least. I say we should look back at what out founding fathers had to say and live by those standards.

The third thing is the massive spread of Islam. Not necessarily the growth, but means of how they grow. If Islam continues to spread the way it is today, the whole world will continue to go down the drain.

This question has politics written all over it if you want to talk facts. As it is now, everything right down to the time on your watch is political.
