Hi Dave, I use Chrome, but I don't have the problem you describe. However have you tried to open "preferences/options" (As I have the Dutch verison I don't know the exact wording in the English version) and select a different option for the page to open? (I think the first choice is selected in your settings)

Cheers,
Huub

Chances are a tool was added to your extensions you didn't know about or your default search was changed. First open up Chrome browser and go to the top right icon that has three horizontal bars and open up settings, then extensions and have a look at what you have. Disable the one that appears to be the problem and re-load the browser and see if that worked. If that didn't do it, go again to settings then look down to Search and click on 'manage search engines' and choose your default and/or delete the others. As a last option get the free Revo Uninstaller utility, run it, right click on the offending software and uninstall it. Hope one of these works.

Forgot, Huub had another possibility. Go to 'settings' then 'set pages' and put in what you want things to open to.

No problem here with Chrome except it works for about 10 mins then the scroll bar on the right edge gets stuck for some reason and I have to crash out. I stick with IE, it's clunky and slow by comparison but never lets me down. A bit like my old Honda before I traded it.

Chrome works better for me than Firefox does on this comp. Firefox seems to have issues with XP 64, Chrome doesn't.
