I have noticed that some scenery (Ex:MR's DEI) states it was made to fit pactex 1-4 . Are these sceneries also compatible with the newer version 2 pactex (2a , 2b , 2c , 2e) ?
Speaking of pactex textures , is there a major difference between V1 and V2 other than being newer and maybe adding a few other areas ? For instance looking better at different altitudes .
I guess what I am asking is , am I better off with starting with V2 if it is compatible with most of the other sceneries .
I lied : one more question , does dvslats enhanced textures replace all of the pactex's . They are highly recommended . Just wonder about scenery compatibility . Ex: On a fresh install would dvslats textures get loaded verses the pactexs . There are so many improvements to CFS2 it gets a little confusing sometime .
I've used Rami's PTO guide so far(excellent by the way) up until replacing ground textures and I'm just deciding what would be a good combination .
Let's not forget all of Uncle Tgt's excellent contributions and the list goes on and on . I can certainly understand why CFS2 has hung around for ten years now .
Thanks to all ,
Rich
