Quick Combat Problem

Something odd occurs occasionally in Quick Combat...

I set the parameters for the mission and then hit fly, and I get a message saying that the mission has been canceled because of bad weather. Then I get an error message saying that I need to put the cdrom in the correct drive, Then the game freezes with the hour-glass cursor appearing above the screen.

If I exit the game via ctrl-alt-del, and then re-enter, the same failure will occur when I attempt the same routine. I can resolve the issue by deleteing the pilot and creating a new one. I've experienced this with two pilots, btw. I also believe that it occurred on "their" first mission, but I can't swear to that.

I consider this a minor inconvenience, btw. Overall, I find P3 great fun and a terrific challenge. I just wish those darn DH2 would stop those darn cork-screw dives. They shake my Albatross every time!

Hi Ivanmoe - the message is due to the date, weather is bad and if you were in campaign you'd be grounded :). Here I just click OK and fly, so not sure why you see different what version of CFS3 CD do you have and is it in the drive? Do you have two drives?

Glad you are having fun otherwise.
