R-R Kestrel

Not Me Ted......Gary Jones.

Hes the sound Wizard.......All I do is act as Ringmaster over at the Pond and fortunatly we have some excellent folks......Gary is taking a well earned break -- the Kestrel sound is really nice.....Ive been flying it in Uncle Ted's
Hawker Hind since Gary passed it to the Beta group and its a marvellous bit of noise......now if he could just come up with sound for the Goshawk "steam engine" :a1310:

But Im pushing my luck ....

Anyway glad your enjoying Gary's sounds.......Hes been slaving over a hot sampling board.

Lol...I've been struggling to build my own Kestrel noise without much happiness. This file is really good, my weight has been lifted. Now for a beautifully tonal open cockpit flight.
 
All someone has to do is persuade Jens to do a Supermarine Southampton or Scapa or a Short Singapore III then Gary could do a mulitple version of his sound set......:)



Its ok I'll get my coat........................

This is a great sound!
I use it for K.Ito's Fi167, as I have no idea how the original may have sounded.
It just feels, looks and sounds right...

I guess I better get my coat too 'cause I sure like that idea..of course I don't have to do all the work LOL

Gary uses samples from video tapes of real Kestrels at work....(The Shuttleworth Hind comes to mind) and remasters them - so yes, you do know what a real RR Kestrel sounds like :)
