• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Race simming is hazardous!

It is when you find yourself driving IRL and race sim habits come into play!

For example:
1) After changing gear in ACC with paddles you attempt to do the same using the indicators and light stalks in your road car!
2) You set stage times for a road trip much to the annoyance of your passenger.
3) Refueling stops do not allow time for 'comfort breaks' (much to the extreme annoyance of your passenger)

Feel free to add more from personal experience......:biggrin-new:

'Leaning' on other cars and swapping paint while taking the inside lines on corners gets frowned upon in RL too! :dizzy:

4) You come across a road sign that says 'Winding Road Next 10KM' and you promptly drop back a gear and accelerate.
5) Any and every corner you take (either Urban or Country road) requires leaning into, not just the head but the entire body mass.
:encouragement:

Giving navigation calls to yourself when you know the road... 'five left, into one right, do not cut..' :biggrin-new:

:applause:

On a side note, linking the radio volume (and quality of music) to the pressure applied by the right foot (a.k.a. the volume to speed ratio) gets frowned upon by RL co-drivers for some reason! :dizzy:
