• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Radial Widgeon Paints I Am Working On

And hope to have finished and uploaded by Friday, possibly Saturday. Joe Binka's radial Widgeon was crying for some fresh paints...so I am giving it some. I have these 4 nearly done...just need to do some tweaks here and there...I have redressed the interior to give it a fresher look. Will do more paints in the near future. Since I have been able to find pics of only 2 or 3 real life radial powered Widgeons, I am taking some of the skins from the inline Widgeon and redoing them onto the radial bird...and using my own creative juices to baste the bird as well...as in the case of the Sunburst Air Services paint...note how the lower fuselage blends from a dark red to an orange....a trick my dear ol Dad used on a number of show cars he painted back in the day.

They look great, Tim! I've been flying the Widge a lot here lately, so will be sure to snap up those paints!
