Radio chatter question

Sorry - another question!!

I've got the British radio chatter working fine on all my RN Pacific aircraft......bar one; its the excellent Morton conversion of A F Scrubs Firefly MK.1 (complete with new BPF skin), but when I went into the CFG file to change allegiance to 1, there's no section that has the nationality, type etc. listed?

Well my Firefly crew are now prattling on in yankee drawl and it just don't sound right - just waiting for one to say "have a nice day now".....:wiggle: LOL gues they could be canucks..........or even an American pilot serving in the RN I guess.

I'm afraid you're looking in the wrong place. This has to be changed in the .dp file, in the [MISC] section (usually towards the end of the file).

Nope it aint in the dp file either...................

I think this plane was originally from one of those funny FS flight simulator games where nobody fires at each other! I wonder is there a way of adding this information to the dp file with notepad?

:icon_lol:

A simple copy/paste job from another .dp will do. Then just edit it to the right numbers.

These are the typical fields that should be in the .DP:

[MISC_DATA]
unit_family=1
category=1
allegiance=2
max_group_size=8
min_speed=105
cruise_speed=380
max_speed=570
min_alt=50
cruise_alt=5893
max_alt=11000
entered_service=1/1/39
crew=1

Speeds are in Km/h and alt. in meters.

Yep - all sorted, cheers again. :ernae:

Does the data in that part have any effect on the game? I used the Hellcat nightfighter and changed nationality and the right year (about the same) and crew to 2. all seems fine anyway.
