I have done 2 repaints of Thicko's great Blenheim 1 and 4-1 in the colours worn for the campaign in Greece.

The MK I is from 211 SQN RAF in Greece late 1940.

The MK IV-1 is from 113 SQN RAF, March 1941.

They are in a camouflage scheme of Light Earth/ Dark Earth/ Light Mediterranean Blue.

Both are in the "B" pattern.

Description: These are two repaints for Thicko's great Bristol Blenheim Mk. I and IV-1. They represent RAF aircraft used during the Greek Campaign, and are in the colors of RAF 113 and 211 squadrons.

I can't express how much I appreciate this, because skylane, myself, and others have all expressed the "extras" that come in a campaign from having actual representative aircraft, such as Morton's Hurricane skins, these, and the Gladiators that Smashing Time is working on.

If I may so humbly request, is there any way that you can do skins for RAF 30 and 84 Squadron? All four (30, 84, 113, and 211) were involved in the Greek theatre.

And most importantly, thank you for these! :ernae:

P.S. - I am still waiting for your e-mail, Tony. That way I can send you the campaign for beta testing!
 
Hi Rami, if you can let me know the squadron codes of 30 and 84 Squadrons and whether they are MKI or IV, maybe some serials. It will be no problem as I have the basic templates done. I thought I'd sent my email but Í'll PM you straight away. I was wondering if something had gone astray.

This is something I can definitely provide for you. Here are two wonderful resources that I use for information on the RAF...

On this page, you will see "Squadrons," and by clicking on any one of the links, you will see RAF Squadrons listed in groupings of five. Each Squadron will have their Squadron letters listed, including any changes over time.

As far as types, I have another resource for that: http://www.historyofwar.org/subject_RAF_units.html

This should give you the information you'd need, I imagine.

As far as specific serials, give me a couple of hours on that one.

OOPS! I inadvertently placed unfinished textures into the Blenheim MKI texture folder,

The quick fix is to copy and paste the wing and nacelle textures from the Blenheim MKIV-I into the Blenheim MKI texture folder.

Can this be corrected or should I upload a fix?

I have the 30 SQN MKI-F just about done, I found a profile on Wings Palette.

Tony,

You should be able to add your own fix and modify your upload. If you can't, upload the fix, and I will add it to the original package. And that's great news about the Blenheim IF repaint!
 
I am uploading the 30 and 84 SQN Blenheims and the fix for the Blenheim MKI.

I am trying to get more information on the 11 SQN plane and will also do a Greek AF Blenheim I

Thanks, I included the fix and combined the two packages, that way it will be less us users will have to download for the Greek campaign. I can do the same for others that you will do. This is outstanding work, and very well appreciated.

I have finished the 11 Sqn MKIV-I and the Greek RHAF MKIV and will upload soon. If anyone has any requests for repaints let me know. I'm looking at Romanian, Yugoslav and Croatian Blenheims but they all seem to have the "A" Scheme so some work will be needed to reverse the pattern.

For the non-RAF skinned Blenheims, I will make sure that those are in a separate package. It will be less confusing that way! :salute:

UPDATE: The five RAF Blenheim repaints are in one package, and the Greek repaint for the Blenheim is in a separate package. Would you like the Romanian, Croatian, and Yugoslavian Blenheims in that package as well with the Greek Blenheim?

And by the way...if you REALLY want to get into the weird, the Royal Yugoslav Air Force purchased Dornier Do-17Ks from Germany, Sm-79s from Italy, as well as early-mark Messerschmitt Bf-109e models AND Hawker Hurricane Mk. I models.

Accordingly, you had Bf-109s from opposing sides fighting one another over Belgrade, AND Hurricanes were fighting alongside the Yugoslav Bf-109s!

Description: This is a Greek texture for Thicko's great Blenheim. This texture are for the Greek Campaign. I have only included those that I have repainted so you will need the original texture folder and allow mine to overwrite them.

Blenheim IV - Royal Hellenic Air Force

This texture is freeware with conditions.

Use at your own discretion.
