RAF Leconfield

I've had mine for years Ian and it's been dragged from PC to PC more times.. any accompanying info it once had is now gone. End result.. not sure who's it is.

BTW.. I'm seeing a lot of glass tearing. Not sure if this is a consequence of the UK2K ground.bgl so will remove it and see if the tearing goes with it.

Ive had a look myself, a few FS9 versions including an old Alphasim scenery, with all the objects available, be easyer to knock one up myself, cheers ian

Hmm.. it's not EGXV_GroundFSX.bgl causing the glass tearing. They still tear without it there.

Dave.. you seeing the static Whirlwind glass as chrome? Wonder if this is non-default env maps being used (Bananabob's)?

I'm trying to get rid of the Whirlwinds. Sea King AI is much better for my needs.

They are buried in the scenery bgl file. They are just statics made from the Alphasim version with those textures I made for someone over at CBFSIM a decade ago. I'm not sure why the daytime windows look like that. Possibly due to however Mickey D made the statics. There are no env maps in there at all. We'll have Seakings from our Enterprise in the Coltishall scenery.

You can see the difference in the ages of the models.
The fact that the Sea King is an FS2004 model is beside the point.

Dave

Yup..

The 'real' S-55 model looks a lot better so gad knows what happened in the static conversion. I can't get rid of em either. Pity they weren't included in the static's bgl along with the MP Lightnings:(

The Sea King looks a little.. well.. you know what I mean but fit for purpose nonetheless. UKMIL have a 'flyer' which looks ok and there are a shed load of statics in the UK2K Common library. The UK2K models have shadows 'built-in' too so you don't need to have 'scenery casts shadows' enabled.

I've swapped out all the MP Lightnings at both Leconfield and Binbrook for their JY counterparts. Been tempted to paint up a few more but from the info I have.. the 5Sqn and 11Sqn seem to cross-over:dizzy:

EDIT: Just converted the full model using SAMM and it looks fine. Pity it can't be swapped out!
