Im on a role, could'nt resist myself, enjoy---

RAF North Coates v2 for FS9, Ian Elliot 21/3/13

This is a new version of North Coates to make use of the great new Bloodhound objects
made available by Mike Hudson, this scenery is a representation of how the airfield looked
in the 1950's/ 1960's. if you want a version representing the station during WW2, there is an older version by me in the SOH scenery library ( its quite an old scenery but still looks ok)

You will need these objects-----

"bloodhound_fs9.zip" by Mike Hudson, available from Flightsim

"raf_gse.zip" by Paul Mitchell available from Flightsim

"classic_libraries_v2.zip" by Wolfgang Gersch, sorry about the large download size
for these but there's a lot of really good objects i like using.

enjoy, cheers ian

Bloodhound Launch

Here's a link to watch an Australian launch of a Bloodhound against an unmanned Meteor fighter. It's interesting how the boosters fall away. It was apparently a simple engineering design that depended on the thrust of the boosters to keep them attached to the missile. Once burned out, aerodynamic drag pulled them from the missile body as a one piece unit.

Well if you're on a roll Ian, how about North Luffenham, need a home for
#1 RCAF wing Sabres!

Somebody's beaten you to it! I've been flying from here for a while:

Scenery's period accurate and compliments some of Ian's airfields very well

FS2004 Scenery--North Luffenhan Airfield (EGVL), North Luffenhan UK. For daytime only; built as 1950's. It was used by the RCAF then. By Ed DesRoches plus Brent Robillard.

Marville, Langar and Zweibrucken have also been done. I've knocked up some RCAF repaints for AI I think they were JY's but I'll dig them out when I'm back up and running and have a look see

Thanks for that Hooky!

I checked my library and found a couple of Canadian skins for the Section 8 Sabre. While they are for squadrons based in France and Germany, they still bear the Canadian insignia.

Look for:

434 Squadron: rcaf23707.zip
439 Squadron: 439RCAF_538.zip

there are some more SF8 sabre paints at the Flight Ontario website look in downloads--> repaints

http://www.flightontario.com/

They've got Sqn's from France, Germany even the Operational Training Unit at CFB Chatham in Canada.
You can also get a scenery pack with All 106 of the Commonwealth Training Bases built during the war well worth a look.

Yes indeedy, look for the ones of 'Operation Leapfrog', the trail op to position the Sabres from Canada to North Luffenham,
and with later 'Leapfrog's' into mainland Europe
