Raid on Truk

This movie does not it clear, but did we conduct just one hit-and-run raid on Truk? Which I consider impossible... how many times did we hit that base; I thought that Truk was one of toughest nuts to crack besides Rabaul.:help:
 
Two days of day and night strikes by task force 58's 9 carriers put Truk out of commission. After Hailstone, whatever was left at Truk was basically bypassed and left to "die on the vine". Japanese had no ability to resupply or support Truk, as US forces ruled the surrounding seas and skies.
