Rain?

The ground is wet and there is puddles. I can see rain drops hitting the ground and windscreen, but other that I do not see raindrops coming from the sky.

Does anybody else see raindrops from the sky when it rains or is there an issue with the sim?
I can not remember if I had the same issue with 2020.

I have not compared the rain effects in MSFS2020 vs 2024, but watched a couple YouTube videos on the subject. Seems like the majority opinion favors 2020 effects.

My 2024 looks just the 2020 in this video (I thank that guy needs to look at the settings).
It more like in spot view, der are no rain drops falling from the sky.

I don't see raindrops either, but on a wet runway there is spray visible from the jetwash/propwash behind my aircraft.

I have windscreen raindrops, backwards streaking horizontal flows of water due to propeller/wind forces and wet puddles (like at the end of his posted video) in MSFS 2024.

I still have MSFS 2020 installed but have not kept it updated nor do I fly around in it anymore.

I can't remember if MSFS 2020 depicts squall lines like these in MSFS 2024 posted below. The clouds appear the same to me.

I think many times the rain effects are aircraft specific. Some of the MSFS 2024 default planes have serious bugs with rain (the Corvalis, for example, has the rain streaks going from back to front). Several planes are waiting patches for many things. Some work really well.

This is flying through a rain/snow mix in Bagalou's new Savannah. The little white streaks near the top are a little of the snow.
