This is John Stinstroms excellent rendition of this south Texas Pilot Training base for FS9. My part in this is to simply convert it to work in FSX and P3D. I have emailed John for permission to upload once it's done. Still some small stuff to complete.

A great spot to park a BT-13, AT-6, PT-13, AT-9, training B-17s or B-24s, AT-11, or any other AF trainer, prop or jet. Looking forward to this one very much.

I prefer Your smaller airfields but I cant test it also and do few estination here too :biggrin-new:.

That would be great, Ed! I like the way the base was designed. Interesting. Re: John Stinstrom; I tried several times to get in touch with him over the years, and was never successful. Pete

Good to know Pete. I'll give it some time, unless someone else happens to have a better way to contact him. If I get no answer within the week I'll make sure his original readme's are included along with information on this current version and get it uploaded.

Great to see the scenery getting converted for FSX/P3D. Another base I've been to and my MAIW trainers need a good home.

Ed, John was, I think, involved with some of MAIW projects a couple years ago, so maybe someone on their forums may know how to contact him. Pete

I spent about a month there for KC-97 crew training back in "the dark ages". Lovely place for flying although we had no GPS, no ILS, no VOR, etc.

I went on to other projects while trying to get in touch with John to get proper permission to release his scenery. I failed with several email addresses and attempted to contact him through MAIW but with no success thus far. I will give this last attempt a day to work and then I plan on giving John his due credit for the marvelous job and upload it to the Warbirds library.

Well Ed, indeed you tried. I (we) look forward to your release! NC

Well, the consensus at MAIW is that John left the hobby and no one has had contact with him in quite a few years. I will get the scenery uploaded soon.
