Rare Aircraft- Flightsim wishlist

The Czech High Performance Passenger Plane

The Avia 51 ... a beautiful aircraft ahead of its time ....

•K. ROBERT J. NEBESAR will be remembered
by readers of FLIGHT as the author of an article
entitled " Supercharging the Aeroplane Engine
and increasing Speed with Altitude," published
in THE AIRCRAFT ENGINEER
(Monthly Technical Supplement to
FLIGHT) on December 25, 1931.
At that time Mr. Nebesar was
Project Engineer to the Detroit
Aircraft Corporation. He has
since returned to his native
Czechoslovakia, and during last
year has been engaged on the design
of a small three-engined commercial
monoplane for the Avia
Company of P r a g u e .

THE AVIA 51
3 Avia R.I2 Engines

Maximum speed = 165
Cruising Speed = 142
Range at Cruising Speed = 500 miles

What about the Sea Lightning?

It never got beyond the proposal stage, perhaps fortunately.

Dave

Wouldn't that be lovely .... and a nice CVA-01/HMS Furious to fly her off. :mixed-smiley-010:

And the VFW 614, with the engine pylons on top of the wings

Then I have some good news for you. :)

Personally I'd like to see some of the earlier model Supermarine Swift; not sure if they truly count as "rare", but definitely "rarely serviceable".

Got another suggestion: The Breguet 941 STOL cargo transport.

Seen below is the McDonnell equivalent: McDonnell 188

some simple ones some not

First a very simple one to do the Piper Colt,I know it's just a two seat Tripacer but have always liked them since my flying lession days, then two Champions ,the Champion 7JC Tri-Con (with nosewheel under the halfway point of the fuselage),and the Champion Lancer a twin engine Champ. Also love to see a freeware Bellanca 14-19 Cruisemaster and a Bellanca Viking. For Military ( a tough couple to do) Convair's XFV-1 Pogo and Lockheed XFV-1 VTOL, these would be a nightmare to do the FDE's for. Also I can't believe no one has done a Grumman F-11A Tiger.

I would absolutely be on Cloud Nine if somebody would build a Lisunov Li-2 (NATO code name: Cab) for FS2004. :jump: 4,937 have been built from 1939 till 1954 but none for FS2004 yet. :sorrow: So it can be considered "rare".
Twenty years ago I was one of the very lucky people to have experienced a one hour "local" flight from Eindhoven Airport (Netherlands) in the 1952 vintage Li-2T RA 01300 c/n 23441605 (see photo), seated on one of the side benches (no seat-belts available). Awesome!

Cheers,

I will check the source later today but I have an excellent (well-weathered) default DC3 repaint representing the Li-2 pretty much as shown in the photograph. I'm pretty sure I got it from AvsimRus but will check and confirm,

Thanks djs1. :)

Actually what I am really hoping for is that somebody will make a genuine Li-2 model (incl. FDE), the quality of the MAAM-SIM DC-3. The Li-2 differed in many aspects from the DC-3 and C-47 (different engines and nacelles, flight characteristics, undercarriage / landing gear, doors, windows and of course panel and instruments).
The only existing model of the Li-2 (as far as I know) is a Russian modification of the FSX default DC-3, which cannot be used in FS2004.

Anyway, thank you very much! Much appreciated.

Cheers,
Maarten
