We have to do a little server maintenance that will take the forums off line for an about 2-3 hours. Right now we are planning for Sunday night 9:00 PM May 25
I have never understood the term "rare photograph". With photographs, there is only one, so in that context they are all rare. And once the so-called picture has been widely displayed e.g. on the internet it can no longer be considered rare.
Try thinking of it this way... How many colour photographs from WW2 would there have been of FW190s taking off?
You couldn't say "a rare photograph of an A320", there are thousands if not millions of them, but if the A320 was covered in brown paint after someone spilt a can over the top of it, and someone cleaned it off very quickly before the boss saw it, then you could say "a rare photograph of A320 N320ZZ after receiving an unexpected mud bath!" - each photo may be unique, but a photo becomes rare when there are very few of them.
...OK, so how many (real!) colour photographs of an FW190 taking off can we find on the Interwebz in 24-hours...
Yep, there are zillions of Fw190 shots when the plane is on the ground at readiness or during servicing but only very few closeups at takeoff and barely any taken from that angle showing that much undercarriage/gear housing/payload details.
