RAZBAM A-6 Intruder paintkit

I am looking for the RAZBAM A-6 Intruder paintkit.

Was their any paintkit available in the past?

Does anyone have it?

Yeah - I did it.

In posts awhile back I made this kit on my own so I had a VA-75 texture. I did a tanker (the belly bands were unique in all squadron KA-6Ds).

However, everything that is VA-75 can be removed or changed in the PK and no belly band and numbers 500 - 510 would be a bomber.

I have a few posts and threads on the A-6 somewhere here if interested.

Got to cruise with VA-75 in the air wing on the Big E. As the last Intruder cruise, they painted one jet up in early colors.

I was in VA-105 with CVW-3 from 1980-84. VA-75 was with us then. I hope that you make this public. Good Job!

Mike 71 made it, I only put it on a plane. I'll make it public if Mike is okay with that.

Do you have the KA-6D model? It should be on the KA-6D version (5 tanks); otherwise get rid of the bellyband and use a number 500 thru 509.

Otherwise, it's fine to do your own thing and post it as you wish

I have that model too and I have put on that one. I'm not the man of what-ifs.:)

Great photo that does the old girl justice!

A-6 squadrons normally had 10 bombers and 4 tankers. The KA-6Ds were old A-6As that had been converted through an overhaul and modification program. As a tanker they were terrific, with lots of give-away fuel capacity.

I have mentioned some time ago that Navy carrier based tankers had green anti-collision lights to make them easier to find at night. Even "straight" A-6Es or A-7s equipped with a refueling store - to serve as extra tankers - would have their anti-collision lenses swapped out to green temporarily.

No paint on the tanks. Once in awhile you see drop tanks on various Navy airplanes wih some painted trim, but that was / is an exception.

At Razbam it's only 10 dollars!
