Question:

Can that afterburner "bang" sound be added to other aircraft as well, such as the Phantom?

Thanks, NC

Sure, you can add it to any afterburner .fx file. I also did it for a couple of other planes using those early turbojet 1 stage burners like the Sader and the Hun. Just open that .fx file and add the [Sound] section like this one:

[Library Effect]
Lifetime=5
Display Name=F-102 Deuce After burner
Version=2.00

[Sound]
FileName=Exp_Gen02.wav
MinAttenuationDistance=700.00
Looping=FALSE

[Properties]
Cockpit=1
etc..

The WAV file Exp_Gen02.wav is a stock FSX sound that sits in the FSX \Sound folder. You could of course replace that reference with a WAV file of your own.
