Gents:
Closer than ever for final release, exterior and interior models are in the process final texturing, virtual cockpit is in the final process of coding, aiming for a very close release date.
Models included in this VOlume are A-7A, A-7B and A-7P, includes all features previously found on Vol 1 plus new goodies, since the early versions of the SLUF were basically analog systems we are replicating as much as FSX allows us, that includes a primitive navigation computer, a radar set up slightly more complicated to master and a "weapons release computer" which means more switches are needed for even the simpler task.As with Vol 1, you´ll have to take care of this bird´s engine, since it´s less powered than an E or D version and prone to compressor stalls during cat launch and in hot weather BUT, at the same time, it´s maybe less temperamental on straight flights.
Be prepared for a very busy cockpit!
We might include some special feature missed on Vol1 and if we do, we´ll patch Vol1 as well.

A-7B VA-46 Clansmen, 1970

A-7A´s and B´s carried the weight of the SEA conflict for a long period until the E model was operational, the P version (P stands for Portugal) serve their country until 2001, while Thailand used a mix of E´s and refurbished A´s well into 2007.
So see you s**n!

Best regards

As always, incredible detail!!!

I am really enjoying flying the "E" model. Guess I'll have to relearn everything with the A/B!!

VA-97

One of the main features in this Vol is the availability of ordnance weight affecting the flight model, which was missing from Volume I, but eventually will be patched up.
As for the TA-7C/A-7K/TA-7P which will become Vol3,it will be available by xmass (hopefully) if we can hit this Volume designated deadline.
Breguet Alize is also being worked on, but not as fast as some might like , main reason is that there is a bunch of scooters in the middle, an F-105 and a lot more.
2011 will be quite a busy year.

Best regards

As things are shaping, a simultaneous release is turning more into a reality.
What we do need is references for A-7K´s. TA-7H´s, and TA-7P´s (Squadron´s schemes, etc)

Best regards

hello,

Portugal operated the A-7 from 1981 to 1999 with 44 A-7P and 6 TA-7P in 2 squadrons: Esquadra(Squadron) 302 "Falcões" and Esq. 304 "Magnificos", they share the 50 aircraft which had the same paint scheme.

one A-7P, the 15521 had a special paint scheme for the celebration of 64000 flight hours of the fleet.

with the activation of the F-16 Sqd. 201 "Falcões" in 1993 with the pilots from sqd 302, all aircraft became part of sqd 304 and was added the sqd logo above the tail number.

some details here(text in portuguese:portugal:, please select A-7P Corsair II):

Yeah, here comes the Twosair. I actually have a few different paint schemes, but, unfortunately, my PC with the scanner isn't up and running atm. I also liked the Naval aggressor variants that were used to simulate Russian bomber attacks on the fleet. They carried various ECM equipment to simulate threats.

As noted in the first pic, I think it was actually the EA-7L.

EA-7L pic-2

Although the second pic notes them as TA-7C's.
