Razbam upcoming F-102 Release screen shots

Ron has also given me chance to play with this and although I'm not a Century Jet fan at all, it's a great little model and superb fun to fly - just don't ask about my landing, which needs serious practice!!! :monkies:

As Ron says, it is still in development, so things at release probably won't look exactly like they do in those shots. I didn't click everything in the VC, but everything I did click did something, even if it had no real effect in the sim.

I'm review writing at the moment, but will probably go and practice some more [LINESTRIKE]crashes[/LINESTRIKE] landings afterwards and see if I can actually get it to stop within the runway length. :icon_lol:

Exiting ! Looking great so far, Ron ! :applause:

Nit pick mode On

Good looking MBU-12/P there, Ron, but it was introduced in 1981. As the F-102 was retired from operational service in 1976 Deuce pilots never got to use the MBU-12/P. If you wanna go ARAIG ( and you do, don't you! :d ) you'd have to equip your Deuce pilot with the MBU-5/P ( introduced in the mid 60's to replace the MS22001 )

Bit more sexy than the MBU-12 too, don't you think ? :)

Btw, will there be an option to switch off the radar scope ?

Nit pick mode Off

Fantastic to have a full blown FSX Dagger to play around with. Good choice, mate ! You can't go wrong with 'Sticking To The Sixties' ! :ernae:

Pardon the nit pick, better now than once finished, right ? :d

Cheers,
Jan

Hey guys:
Javis:
Indeed, pretty aware of that, need to work on the textures and mapping, that guy sitting there needs to be 60´s-fied..lol.
As for switching off the radar, well, you can turn it on and off, put on auto scan, put your missiles on auto chaff mode (pretty clever concept back then..never worked) put it on low electrical power mode, tune the azimuth, Horizontal, vertical, range, even as most if not all does not makes any difference in the sim, it will keep yah busy, because that cockpit you see right there, is a busy cockpit, just like the original (ask Moe..or Ian..who still can´t land it). What the radar will do is detect AI aircraft.
As for the modeling, i used a source from Milviz,I found the model to be very accurate(externals) while the exteriors are pretty much not changed, the cockpit was reworked, and it´s currently being enhanced even further. What you´ll see in it once released is what you´ll see on RAZBAM aircraft from now on and even further, with more action being included to keep you busy while flying.
You can never go wrong with 60´s jets..lol...even if it wont sell much, who cares, there is a coming 102 and that´s what matters
Best regards
Prowler

Just because somebody sent me a "girl of hooters singing telegram" to my door, i agreed to post these pics of the cockpit still on development.Opinions expected

This looks great! I am a fan of the Century series. Would you consider developing this plane into an F-106 later? It would seem to me that it would beat present offerings.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Does it come with a dragchute?

A definite 'must-have' to try against my Lightnings.

Oohh :D

Very pretty indeed :ernae:

I love older birds like that. The prowler's newer, but still awesome :applause:

By the way Ron, this is Kevin Glover- did you get my last PM at the forum where I checked in to let you know I hadn't dropped off the earth? Sorry I'm so slow with the review- but it will be done! And soon, too.

What's that thing that protrudes from the top of the nose area, just forward of the windscreen?

Between lionheart and Razbam, im going to have to increase my budget. Excellent F102 and a must buy.

Good news, Ron, thanks ! :ernae:

VC looks superb, well done! :applause:

@ Bone: the infra-red sensor turret allowed long range detection of targets without using the radar. Could be seen on Russian jetfighters as well.

cheers,
Jan

I was about to post the same,F-102´s pioneered the concept, but the US dropped while the USSR picked up the concept and still uses it.

Pretty slick!:ernae::ernae: Ya should leave in the "right ext tank" markings!:applause:
If ya wanna see cool F-102(and other late '50's USAF stuff) footage, watch the old Steve Canyon TV episodes.

I hope these other shots will give ya a better idea of what they are working on...Mike:wavey:

Some beautiful looking work there.

I am not familiar with that model of jet fighter. It has a few similarities to the lines of a Mirage. I like that SR-71 style canopy.

:applause:
