RC Helmet Camera

I loved the realistic ground textures and the way the buildings didn't pop in as you got close to them!

Makes flight sim look a bit lame by comparison! :icon_lol:

On a serious note it's amazing how RC gear has moved on in the 30 years since I was involved in it.

When you crash it, instead of resetting the sim, you get to spend a year glueing small bits of airframe together ;)

(And the next person who attaches That Music to a video, should be automatically disqualified from uploading for a year. Make that... five years)
 
I remember seeing a video a year or so ago at a now sadly defunct aviation video website of a chap in Norway who had developed a functional afterburner for turbine-powered RC jets. He mounted it on a large F-16 model and the effect was quite impressive. The LED setup for electric ducted fans certainly adds some pizzazz but seeing and actual miniature AB work was pretty remarkable.
