If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Those are really remarkable airshow shots!:applause:

The one pic of the Lockheed YO-3 is only he second time I've ever seen one and only the third time I've heard about it.

In the 70's my father was an FBO a little was outside of DC. One day while working out on the ramp he heard a call come from the radio loud speaker that he had set up on the airport shack. It was from an aircraft identifying itself as "Snoopy One" and was declaring an emergency landing.

Dad had know clue what the heck to expect to see flying in. You had to sort of wind your way down a valley on final he didn't get to see it until it was making the last bend for the landing. He said it made almost no sound at all.

As soon as it was down and the pilot determined that it couldn't take back off, armed security folks showed up within a very short time, to keep everyone away from it while it was stuck at the airport.

I remember it was either a CIA or an FBI version used for domestic surveillance and it was still sort of a secret at the time. The major difference between the one that landed and the one in the pic was it had a 6 bladed stubby prop not the 3 blades.

It always reminded me of a U-2 with a prop on it.
