RE: Adobe Reader fails to install....9.20 version

Hi All,
Periodically,...I'll get a message asking if I'd like to update/install Adobe Reader 9.20. Right now I have Adobe Reader 9.1.
So I click the install button and it begins to download. However,...at the very end of the installation,...I get a small window stating "ADOBE READER 9.20 (CPSID 50026) failed to install.
This has happened numerous times. Even googled the issue with no definitive answer or solution. So,....I'm wondering:
* Something that I need to do within computer settings that would allow complete installation?
* How important is it to have the most current edition of Adobe Reader? As the ol' saying goes,..."If it ain't broke,....why fix it?"
* (Maybe I should uninstall the 9.1 version first,...then try to install the 9.20 version?)
* Or should I download the more current ones such as 9.3,3 or 9.3.2?

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated......

uninstall, and reinstall.

This happens to me so often I turned off the auto-update feature, after I reinstalled ver 8. Ver 9 wants to update almost every week...why ???

Current version is 9.3.3, I think... at least mine is, and it says there aren't any updates available.
