Amazing, simply amazing what damage a B-17 could take and still fly. And the ability of the Pilot and Co-Pilot to to fly without instruments is amazing and the navigators dead reckoning navigation was superb even after being knocked out for awhile. Great story.

Incredible, as so many damaged B-17 were & made it back. The pilot is truly outstanding as well. Can't imagine landing this one without my goggled head sticking out the window to see. Good read, Brad, thanks.

The B-17 was one of the toughest bombers to ever take to the skies. Many absorbed massive amounts of damage and returned home.
