RE: Boeing technology enables drones to swarm like insects.....

LAS VEGAS -- Engineers at Boeing Co. and Johns Hopkins University have devised technology
that enables drones to function like a swarm of insects that can communicate and carry out tasks
together in mid-flight.(Be sure to watch the 2 minute video,...a real hoot

Very interesting. Also something else you won't know if you are not using Firefox with 'Ghostery'.

As I arrived at the site Ghostery blocked 15 cookies being placed on my machine, none of which I requested:

Audience Science
ChartBeat
DoubleClick
Facebook Connect
Facebook Social Plugins
Gigya Socialize
Google + 1
Google Adserve
Google Analytics
Netratings Site Census
Omniture
Outbrain
Quantcast
Twitter Badge
Twitter Button

Then, after I had made a note of these and started to scroll the mouse - Brightcore, - No.16, - was refused by Ghostery.

My all time maximum of cookie attempted plants on a site has been 23.

I do not have nor use Twitter, Twatter, Facebook, Arsebook, Gigya, Frigya, Outbrain, Inbrain...

None of them.

So why do all these people want to plant shyte on my PC?

You guess....

Graham Sullivan.

Ugh, I know.
News sites are the worst offenders.
I use NoScript as well as Ghostery too.
Still amazed sometimes at the amount of garbage they block.

Drones video was cool, I like indoors RC stuff myself.
The geek part of me likes the formation stuff, but there is also a small part of me that was creeped out by that video. :icon_lol:
I could see corporations getting their hands on these and creating formations that serve as floating electronic billboards. :kilroy:

A target-rich environment if ever there was one!:icon_lol:

A Boeing geek said this........

You can avoid these by, before going outside, spraying yourself with nanorepellant. (Not yet available at your local drug store.)

DUDE! When they showed the group of five moving as one and coming at you that looked positively EVIL! It was like something out of a dystopian future sci-fi movie.
