Hints for today's mystery aircraft:
-Developed as an attack bomber
-Only one prototype was build
-It was destroyed by fire after the
pilot lost control during a landing approach.
-Even though it showed great promise, none
were built.
-It didn't receive either military designation
or serial number.

I recognize that one! It's the North American NA-40, the precursor to the B-25 Mitchell.
