RE: The Irish Volunteers

....In honor of St. Pattie's Day comin' up this week,...I thought I'd post a link dealing with the Irish Brigades and their Campaigns. These of course being the battles and skirmishes thought were fought during the American Civil War,...1861-1865. Truly they were a proud band of brothers that served their adopted country well.:ernae: I'm not too sure if the two 'similes' are clinkin' their glasses of Guinness or not but makes no matter.

The 'Arms and Equipment' page is quite interesting.......
(Made to post this in the 'NewHawks' forum......but did a mental stumble......)

I was recently reading a good book on the Irish Brigades in French and Spannish service 1680 to 1814.
Thanks for the link, I enjoyed getting a bit more upto date.
