Great model so far. Looks nice and clean modeling wise. The polygons on the tires looks amazingly excessive though! I would think a normal map would be better suited then extrude/bevel every face.

And the bar goes up once more... Awesome looking plane.. I'm gonna have to wait to see what it does to the frame rates on my beast before i form a real opinion though...

Hello. Yes it is the Just Flight DC3/C47. Pretty good model. Actually when I said real close, I was refering to how close the prop tip is to the fuselage. Real close.

Aaaaaaaaa! That explains it! Sorry, I thought you were showing off a new product in production. My bad! That prop is really close! I know the PBY Catalina had a steel plate near the prop arc to protect the crew from ice getting flung off the blade!

It looks like there should be a good 6" from the tip according to the pix.

If your flying around the Netherlands, a 1000 foot ceiling is probably not much of a limitation! :running:

Regards, Mike Mann

The highest hill (although we actually call it a mountain) is 1056ft in height. I live 4 ft below main sea level, at less than 2 kilometers (1.3 miles) from the coastline. Our main airport (EHAM) is located even 11 ft below main sea level.

So there is plenty room above the Netherlands to test the JF DC3 ;)

Cheers,
Huub
