RealFlight F6F Hellcat Released

Hi Nick yes please do, but also goto our support page and choose the installation support.

She is absolutely gorgeous even if not all systems are working.

BTW, XGraphics has a few nice textures too :redf::wavey:

Anyone else noticed the flap position indicator gauge doesn't seem to work?

We did try and implament it but fsx didnt like it.. I'll dig in again and see what we can do with it.

We've already planned a SP which hopefully with time will address some problems also giving some additional goodies :D

I noticed the flap gauge too. But what I noticed more was that the F6F has only two flap positions, UP and DOWN. Just like the Spitfire MK I! That’s very interesting. I got the “boop, boop, boop” warning on my first landing, usually associated with flaps and gear not in proper positions, but she landed fine. Haven’t heard it since, but I did slow down a lot more before attempting the extend the wheels. Guess I’ll go read the manual now… :d

This one is a must have!
I took her around Madeira and really enjoyed the trip... I uploaded a few shots, i hope they show the quality of this aircraft.

Edit: Hey this is my first post on the "new" forum. :costumes:

Sure is a sweet looking machine, wow!!!!

It's on the list, near the top. Maybe on the top, hummmm, so many things to buy so little time. :ernae::applause::ernae:

Yes. Anyone noticed that the rudder & aileron trim wheels don't seem to turn either? I'm one of the saddoes that uses these things constantly and it's very annoying.

Still, despite these systems niggles (which I'm sure will be sorted) this is a beauty, and not just to look at. I'd not realised that the F6F was so good all round - as far as you can judge, obviously, from a simulator. There's power in hand above 30,000 feet but she's a pussycat in the circuit with spot-on speed control. I can imagine this fighter inspiring buckets of confidence in the men who flew her.

Full throttle position power (measured by AFSD) at Sl, 3550; 10,000' 2500; about 1950 @ 20,000'. I presume the blower shift lever is currently for entertainment purposes? Also: Water injection? This was available on the F6F with the 10W engine and an implimented feature of FSX accel. I presume that neutral blower could not produce 80" MP at SL? Engines are one of the more controversial and hard to setup features of FS. Always the question of having the pilot set the appropriate max MP (the gauge is a bit small to read) or having the full throttle position approximate this up to critical altitude.

Flies quite nicely even on my laptop with a twistie stick, should be spectacular when I get home to a more skookum setup.

Cheers: T.

I think I understood some of that! I don't know if the supercharger lever is dummy or not, but here we are at over 37,000 ft showing 27 Ibs manifold pressure, IAS around 126 and still (just) going up. I don't usually fly this zoomed out, I just wanted to show the panel and where all the levers are.

That third shot is stunning!!!

is that the MadieraX addon from Aerosoft?

I agree with Mud, I remember awhile back Panther had a cutie in his avatar that wasn't so completely pumped up, and whoooooo, she was a keeper as well. Good to see attractive women are still appreciated in this world.

Well I just wanted to pop back to say that Dean and his "nameless" support team got me flying this lovely aircraft. It seems the server was down when my installer initially tried to verify my details.

Top work on this aircraft :applause::applause::applause:
