RealFlight F6F Hellcat Released

Heh, this is one of those errors that very strangely made it into the final release.

A few hours before the entire thing was sent off to get packed, the aircraft selection looked like this;

file.php

Our mistake :costumes:

Hi paul it looks like its dependant on which installer was used initially.

Some people installed both .exe :redf:

Well arent' you special!! Maybe I should have gotten the F6F-3/5 download and I wouldn't have floppy gun door problems!!:costumes:

You need some of that Marine Duck Tape to hold those floppy gun doors down!

Hmm. I got the big install, installed it once and only got the -5s.

EDIT: ROFL @ MudMarine. I'm so glad I joined the USAF...

A couple questions, but forgive me if they're foolish:

1) Should the "0" on the tach change to 1 when passing 1000rpm, and 2 when passing 2000? Mine just stays at 0 all the time, and with a single digit tach I figured that would increment with every thousand.

2) Is the issue with the manifold pressure one that will be addressed in the service pack? Mine goes over 75" like others have pointed out, and as far as I know these engines do a max of 60" w/ water from SL to 10,000ft.

Probably has been seen already but here's an interesting document that compares engine and performance data with and without water on the R-2800-10W.

I think what shockwave did with the P-47 is the best way to simulate water inj, where when the water switch is off, it simulates not passing the gate, and only once the water is turned on can you obtain 60".

Very nice aircraft however there appears to be a mapping problem on the instrument panel of the British versions. I also have only F6F-5's showing on the UI - I installed using the large install - on Vista 64
